🌿 Sansevieria Bacularis Care Guide

A sleek, minimalist houseplant with pencil-thin, upright leaves that require almost no maintenance.

☀️ Light

Thrives in bright, indirect light, but easily adapts to low light. Can tolerate some direct morning sunlight, though too much harsh sun may fade leaf color.

💧 Watering

Very drought-tolerant. Water only when soil is completely dry, usually every 2–4 weeks. Less in winter. Always err on the side of underwatering — the base can rot easily if overwatered.

🌡️ Temperature & Humidity

Ideal temp: 60–85°F (16–29°C). It handles normal indoor humidity well and doesn’t need misting. Avoid cold drafts or temps below 50°F (10°C).

🌱 Soil & Potting

Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix. A shallow pot with good drainage is essential. This plant likes to be slightly root-bound, so don’t rush to repot.

🌿 Feeding

Feed just 1–2 times during spring and summer with a diluted succulent or cactus fertilizer. No feeding in fall/winter.

🪴 Styling Tip

Bacularis looks especially elegant in tall, narrow planters, or grouped in minimalist containers. It’s great for desks, shelves, or modern interiors.

⚠️ Common Issues

  • Mushy or drooping leaves = Overwatering.

  • Wrinkling or shrinking = Underwatering or too much sun.

  • Leaning growth = May be stretching toward light; rotate occasionally.
